Welcome to CS2GEOGUESSR, a personal fan project made for people who enjoy Counter-Strike. These terms cover the games, accounts, scores, and leaderboards. When we say "we" or "us", we mean the person who runs this site.
By using CS2GEOGUESSR, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. What is CS2GEOGUESSR?
CS2GEOGUESSR is a free, browser-based arcade built around Counter-Strike 2. Depending on the game, you might have to recognize a map location, identify a skin, answer a quiz, or complete another CS2 challenge. Some rounds use random questions or locations, and your results depend on the rules shown in each game.
You cannot win real money, CS2 skins, Steam items, or prizes on CS2GEOGUESSR. Scores, points, streaks, and rankings are just for fun. They have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for anything.
2. Who can play?
You can play the guest games without making an account. Account registration and public leaderboard participation are intended for players aged 16 or older. If you're younger, use guest features only with permission from a parent or guardian and only where local law allows it. CS2GEOGUESSR is not designed for children under 13.
You are also responsible for following any rules that apply to you where you live.
3. Guest play and accounts
You don't need to connect Steam to play. Your browser remembers settings and recent progress. The site also creates a guest player ID so it can save your profile and game history on the server. Clearing browser data, using private browsing, or changing devices can disconnect you from that guest profile.
If you choose to sign in with Steam, Steam handles the login. We receive the SteamID needed to connect your account, not your Steam password or Steam Guard code. Your guest history may be linked to your signed-in account. Keep access to your Steam account secure.
4. Scores, leaderboards, and fair play
Eligible scores from Steam-linked accounts can appear on public leaderboards. Other players can see your chosen nickname, character, score, position, and related game stats. Guest scores are saved for your profile but are not currently included on the public leaderboards.
Please play normally. Don't use bots, scripts, macros, exploits, multiple accounts, or other methods to manipulate scores, streaks, or rankings. We may check suspicious results and correct, remove, or reset scores that are inaccurate or unfair. Repeated abuse can lead to account or leaderboard restrictions.
Leaderboards are part of a game, not an official record. We may change scoring rules, fix mistakes, remove invalid entries, and reset seasonal rankings when needed. The rules for a particular challenge take priority over general descriptions on this page.
5. Community names and content
Keep display names, profile pictures, and anything else you submit appropriate for a public gaming site. Don't impersonate others, harass players, share unlawful material, or upload content you don't have the right to use.
You keep any rights you have to content you submit. You give us permission to display and use that content as needed to run your profile, game features, and leaderboards. We may remove content that breaks these rules.
6. Using the website
You're welcome to play, share your results, and create videos or streams of normal gameplay. Please don't attack the website, bypass security, overload our systems, scrape large amounts of data, or copy and republish the game or its underlying content without permission.
We may limit access when necessary to protect the website and other players.
7. Steam, Valve, and other third parties
CS2GEOGUESSR is an independent fan-made project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Valve Corporation or Steam. Counter-Strike, Steam, game images, and related trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Steam sign-in and other external services follow their own terms and privacy policies.
8. Changes to the games
We regularly update questions, maps, game modes, scoring, and features. Some games may be paused, replaced, or removed. We try to keep the arcade available and working properly, but we can't promise that every game, saved guest session, or leaderboard will always be available without errors.
9. Privacy and saved progress
Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to account details, Steam information, guest data, and leaderboard results.
You can change your nickname and character in your profile, sign out of Steam, or clear locally saved data through your browser settings. Signing out or clearing browser data does not delete server-side account details, game history, or leaderboard entries.
10. Disclaimer and liability
CS2GEOGUESSR is provided for entertainment on an "as available" basis. We work to keep games accurate and functional, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free results, or permanent storage of every score.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by interruptions, browser-data deletion, or third-party services outside our control. Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights or legal protections that cannot be excluded.
11. Updates to these terms
We may update these terms when the arcade changes or legal requirements change. The latest version will appear on this page with an updated date. We will provide additional notice of important changes where required.
12. Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms takes away rights or protections that apply to you under the law. If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the remaining terms still apply to the extent permitted by law.
